FAQS
What is a Russian manicure?
A Russian manicure (also known as an e-file manicure) uses an electric file to gently and precisely clean around the cuticle and nail bed. This technique gives a cleaner, longer-lasting result than traditional push-and-cut methods, and allows polish or gel to sit closer to the cuticle for a seamless finish and longer lasting retention.
What's the difference between gel polish and builder gel (BIAB)?
Gel polish (commonly known as 'shellac') is a coloured coating that cures under a lamp and lasts 2–3 weeks. Builder gel (Builder in a Bottle) is a soft gel overlay that adds structure and strength to your natural nails. BIAB is perfect if you're looking to grow your nails out or want added durability on shorter nails, without acrylics.
What is a dry pedicure?
A dry pedicure skips the traditional foot soak and uses e-file techniques to remove calluses and dead skin more precisely. It's more hygienic and gives a smoother, longer-lasting result. We also offer a Footlogix treatment add-on for deep hydration and removal of callus.
How long do gel and BIAB nails last?
A gel polish manicure typically lasts 2–3 weeks, while builder gel can last 3–4 weeks or more with proper care. We recommend booking a maintenance appointment when you start to see visible growth at the cuticle line.
Do you offer nail art?
Yes! We offer French tips, minimal art designs, and chrome finishes. If you have something specific in mind, feel free to bring reference photos to your appointment and we'll do our best to match your vision.
Can I book a bridal nail trial?
Absolutely. We recommend booking a trial 2–4 weeks before your wedding day so we can perfect your chosen design, test colours, and make sure everything is exactly right. On the day, your appointment will be relaxed and stress-free.
How do I safely remove my gel or BIAB nails?
We offer a professional safe removal service to protect your natural nails. We don't recommend removing gel or builder gel at home, as improper removal can cause damage and thinning.
