FAQs
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions typically last 2–4 weeks before a fill is needed. Your natural lash cycle, aftercare routine, and lifestyle all affect retention. We recommend infills every 2–4 weeks to keep your set looking full.
What's the difference between classic and volume lashes?
Classic lashes use one extension per natural lash for a natural, mascara-like look. Volume lashes use multiple lightweight fans for more fullness and drama. We offer light volume for a soft upgrade and specialty volume for a bold, full look.
Do eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?
Not when applied correctly. At Casa Artistry, we carefully select the appropriate weight and length for your natural lashes to ensure they stay healthy. Proper aftercare is also key to maintaining lash health.
What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls your natural lashes from the root, giving them a lifted, wide-eyed look without extensions. We offer classic lash lifts, keratin lash lifts, and lash botox (lash lift with keratin treatment) for added nourishment.
How long does an appointment take?
A full set of classic lashes takes around 1.5 hours. Volume sets take around 1.5-2 hours. Lash lifts take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Infills are usually 45–75 minutes depending on the set.
Can I wear makeup with eyelash extensions?
Yes, but avoid mascara on your extensions and any waterproof eye makeup around the lash area, as these are difficult to remove and can weaken the adhesive. We recommend using a dedicated lash cleanser to keep your extensions clean and lasting longer. Oil-based products should also be avoided near the eyes.
How do I prepare for my lash appointment?
Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes. Avoid curling your lashes or using waterproof mascara beforehand. If you wear contact lenses, you may want to remove them for comfort during the appointment.
What's the difference between a traditional lash lift, Korean lash lift, and keratin lash lift?
A traditional lash lift gives your natural lashes a beautiful curl with a tint — a simple lift and go. A Korean lash lift uses a gentler, slower-acting formula that's kinder on your lashes, delivering a clean straight-up lift — it's one of the most popular trending methods right now. A keratin lash lift (also known as 'lash botox') goes a step further by infusing a keratin treatment into the lashes, helping to thicken and strengthen your natural lashes while giving them a lasting curl. All three are great low-maintenance options if you want to enhance your natural lashes without extensions.
