Foreign Infills — Why We Welcome Lash Clients From Other Salons

If you've had your lashes done somewhere else and you're looking for a new salon to carry on the work, you might have already hit a frustrating wall. Many salons won't touch lashes they didn't apply themselves. It's a policy that leaves clients feeling unwelcome — and frankly, a little stuck.

At Casa Artistry in Campsie, we do things differently. We offer foreign infills, and we're proud of it.

What Exactly Is a Foreign Infill?

A foreign infill (sometimes called a foreign fill) is when a lash technician fills in or refreshes a set of lash extensions that were originally applied at a different salon. Rather than removing the old set and starting fresh, a skilled technician can work with what's already there — applying new extensions to your natural lashes that have grown out or shed since your last appointment.

Done well, a foreign infill is seamless. Done poorly — by someone who isn't experienced or who refuses to take the time — it can result in uneven lash lengths, clumping, or damage to your natural lashes. That's why the experience and attitude of the technician really matters.

Why Many Salons Say No

It's worth understanding why some salons decline foreign infills. Their concerns aren't entirely without merit: unknown products (if a previous salon used low-quality glue or extensions, it can be harder to work with), liability concerns (a new technician inherits any poorly done work and its risk), and time (foreign infills often take longer because the technician needs to assess what's already there, remove damaged or overgrown extensions, and blend new work into an existing set).

These are legitimate considerations. But the solution isn't to turn clients away — it's to be skilled, honest, and thorough enough to handle the work.

Why We Welcome You Anyway

At Casa Artistry, we believe every client deserves access to quality lash care — regardless of where they've been before.

  • We assess first. Before we begin, we take a close look at your current set — the condition of your natural lashes, the health of the extensions that remain, and the quality of the adhesive used previously. If anything raises a concern, we'll tell you honestly and give you options.
  • We remove what needs to go. If extensions are overgrown, damaged, or clumping, we'll remove them safely before infilling. We'd rather take the extra time than rush and leave you with something that won't last.
  • We use only premium products. All our extensions and adhesives are professional grade.
  • We won't judge. Whatever state your lashes are in when you arrive, you'll be treated with warmth and professionalism.

Signs Your Lashes Might Need a Full Removal Instead

Sometimes a foreign infill is exactly right; other times a full removal and fresh set will serve you better. Consider a fresh set if: more than 50% of your extensions have shed; there's significant clumping; you're experiencing irritation (a sign old adhesive may be breaking down); or your natural lashes feel heavy or are growing in awkward directions. If you're unsure, just ask — we're happy to take a look and give you an honest recommendation.

A Word on Lash Health

We talk about lash health a lot at Casa Artistry, because we genuinely care about it. Extensions are meant to enhance your natural lashes — not damage them. When infills are done properly and regularly, your natural lashes stay healthy underneath. When they're done poorly or left too long, the weight and pull can cause premature shedding and even permanent thinning. This is exactly why we take foreign infills seriously.
